Heartland Film Festival kicked off Thursday night with a bang, as 400 people filled the IMAX Theater at the Indiana State Museum for an exclusive screening of August Rush. The vibe all night was high on energy and excitement, and the film didn't disappoint. Take it from this eye-witness--the crowd loved it! As the credits rolled, the whole auditorium slowly got to its feet applauding the film. Even Jeff himself, founder and President of Heartland, said he couldn't remember the last time an opening night film received a Standing O.
Congratulations, Mr. Lewis, on your incredible film. From all of us at Heartland, thank you for bringing it to Indianapolis.
As amazing as last night was, the fun really starts today as the first day of screenings kicks off a week of great films. Check out today's schedule and make your way to the movies!
